WHAT/WHO:
Veterans, Family of Veterans, and the Community are invited to gather at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Seneca County, to pay their respects to veterans who gave their lives for our country as part of their annual “Memorial Day Service.”
A Veterans Memorial March will assemble at 2:30 pm at the restored WWII Guard Shack, and march in honor of the more than 115 veterans, and dependents that have been interred at the cemetery, since its first burial Sept 26, 2011. All Honorably Discharged Veterans are encouraged to take part in this event.
Memorial Services and Military Honors will follow at the Committal Shelter, honoring all Veterans who sacrificed their lives for our Country.A Memorial Monument unveiling from the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery Association will also take place.
March Leaders and Flag Guard will be the Doughboys (Geneva), Military Honors will be administered by Sons of the Union (Ovid). Boy Scout Troop 78 (South Seneca) will place flags on the gravesites.

WHEN:
Monday, May 27th* The public is invited to attend, but seating capacity is limited. Guests are welcome to bring personal lawn chairs. This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
